Concerns about knees

Studies show that with obese patients that were taking up running and walking, it was found that those that had problems with arthritis had it and those who didn't did not; running did not affect it one way or another in healthy runners.

The knee pains that you are experiencing more likely come from increasing your mileage too sharply and from doing so in shoes that were ready for retirement. You have to build up your long runs gradually or they will cause you some pain - in the feet, in the hips, in the knees, in the lower back and every other involved part that has not been gradually brought along.
